At Blue Plum, we really try to make the process of creating beautiful spaces an enjoyable experience. And as simple (or detailed) as you need.
If You Have Drawings
If you have drawings and an idea of what door style, please feel free to fax or email (preferable). At no cost to you, we will gladly review them and give you ballpark pricing and note our design concerns. If you like, we will review your plans for alternative layouts.
If You Have No Drawings
We can create drawings and renderings for reference. While the renderings are shared as a way to explore ideas (through email), the detailed floor plans and elevations are for Blue Plum's internal use and are provided to you after a commitment has been made for Blue Plum to be your cabinet provider.
Concept Exploration
One of the key differences of Blue Plum is that we do contemporary design and custom fabrication. Typically several design reiterations will occur to evolve ideas into a coherent and unique design. After identifying key attributes, such as shape, finish, price, and delivery requirements; a couple cabinet lines will be selected as potential options.
Pricing
Pricing is usually a few step process in which we put together a price based on the design and typically internal cabinet hardware. At that point, we can adjust up or down by selecting different door styles and/or options.
Ordering
Once a design and price is agreed upon, a deposit is given (typically 70%), and the order is placed. It will then take approximately a week to receive a shipping confirmation back from the factory.
Delivery
A delivery schedule will be worked out based on job site changes. If cabinets arrive and the job site is not ready, they can be placed into storage at a reasonable rate.
